Primary sedimentation

The first treatment step of the incoming wastewater consist of the removal of floating matter and the sedimentation of the so called primary sludge. This occurs in the so called primary settling tanks. The 16 tanks are covered and ventilated. In order to reduce smell nuisance the ventilation air is treated.
