Electricity generation
Sludge digestion produces about 30,000 cubic metres of biogas per day. This is stored in two gas holders, each with a volume of 1.500 m3, and is used to drive electricity generators supplying 2300 kW/h (65% of the treatment plant's total electricity consumption).
